Accreation: Creation Through Accretion

The Project:

In light of all that has been discussed, Accreation proposes that we come together to find a brand new system of doing business; the latest in the development of a Social Technology in a fundamental paradigm shift in how people are organized and form a business entity. We hope to conduct a social experiment in which people all over the world join forces in creating a new transparent way of doing business; one whose motives will not solely be dictated by greed and hunger for power, but an entity that will maximize the benefits of the non-zero sum gains, and allow all its participants to benefit from it. We hope to bring forth a venue where hundreds, possibly even thousands or more, can contribute their individual knowledge and expertise in forming a business entity that will not succumb to the darker side of human nature. It will be a computational organization that will not only be able to create value, but will be utilized to find solutions to alleviate many of the ailments that plague humanity today (poverty/famine, pollution, scarcity of natural resources, etc. etc. etc.). We feel strongly that the fabric of human development has brought us to a point where previous Social Technologies can be woven together to form a new and better way of doing things. And we fear that we are nearing a precipice where if we do not learn to urgently develop such Social Technologies the results of our previous mistakes may cause irreparable damage to humanity as a whole. In order to achieve these goals, the following is framework of ideas that will be used to develop this new business entity:

To properly incentivize willing participants by offering shares of the new entity and allow everyone to partake in any profits that may be derived as a result of this endeavor.

To achieve 100% transparency. Every transaction, from buying and selling of shares of the company’s stock, to the purchase of a single paperclip will be made available on the website.

To constantly adapt and improve, and to spur competition to achieve greater innovation. Even if an individual or a group of people try to copy our ideas, we will always be able to garner the broader support of its participants and come up with even better ideas and ways of doing things. We believe that whatever challenges and obstacles we may face, the congregation of its members will be able to constantly adapt and overcome that will take us to greater successes and new heights.

To solve specific problems. The forum will initially be left open for anyone to participate, but the focus of discussion will be directed towards solving specific problems. The initial problems to solve will be what kind of a business should this entity enter into? How should we go about creating value for our customers and for the broader society and at the same time profit from this endeavor? How should the organization be structured, keeping in mind to allow the evolutionary process to flourish? To execute the business plan. Once a plan is fully developed, the company will execute it; first by acquiring financing, and than putting everything into action.

In essence, this will be an attempt to create an open-source BUSINESS, as opposed to creating an open-source software. We wish to introduce a new Social Technology that may potentially prove to be more beneficial than any Physical Technologies that are in development. Much like the scientific revolution that allowed people to systematically search for answers and solutions, we want this project to be a new METHOD of reshaping the world for the benefit of all its inhabitants, as well as this planet we call home. We want to give a new definition to “Collective Capitalism” – an economic system in which individuals collectively amass their resources (not only financial resources, but through the contribution of their knowledge, expertise and informational based resources, as well as any networks of individuals and other organizations that they may have access to) for the purposes of seeking profits and creating value in an honest and transparent method of operation. It will benefit not only the participants, but society as a whole. In order to find out whether such an entity can possibly exist, and perhaps even thrive, Accreation is undertaking this social experiment with the hopes of making it a practical application. We hope to collaborate with as many people as possible, from all walks of life to get their knowledge and wisdom and utilize it for a worthy cause that will offer a brighter future for our progeny.
